Item Description: Translate description
1) MILLS MODEL 1912 WEB BELT. Belt is marked on the tab "MADE BY / MILLS WOVEN CARTRIDGE BELT CO. WORESTER MASS U.S.A.". Belt has eagle rimless snap to position mag. pouch plus 2 sliding keepers. Fittings are brass w/ Mills bronze finish. CONDITION: belt is faded. Metal fittings have wear & verdigris throughout. 2) MILLS MODEL 1912 KHAKI WEB BELT. Belt is marked on end tab, "MADE BY / MILLS WOVEN CARTRIDGE BELT CO. WORESTER MASS U.S.A.". Belt equipped w/ 2 sliding keepers plus plain snap to retain mag. pouch. Brass fittings have Mills Bronze finish. CONDITION: belt has light wear and moderate staining. Fittings have wear and verdigris turning patina. 3) MODEL 1912 WEB BELT. Marked on back "P.B. & CO." plus illegible factory location. Has sword fitting & plain brass snap mag. retainer. Fittings are darkened brass. CONDITION: light wear and fraying with moderate staining and fading. 4) MODEL 1912 WEB BELT. Belt is marked on inside "RUSSELL" in oval. Dated, "OCT 1918". Belt has sword fitting and also has added period leather ammo. loops for 22 cal. ammunition. 1 strip has 15 loops, other strip has 30 loops. Workmanship indicates modification done by lower echelon. CONDITION: belts and loops show considerable wear & staining. Stitching remains tight. 5) MODEL 1912 WEB BELT. Belt has sword fitting plus is unmarked & has 4 added canvas pouches w/ "lift the dot" fasteners. Pouches have two pockets and appear to contain shot shells or flares. Belt has 2 sliding keepers. Fittings are darkened brass. CONDITION: belt has moderate wear and staining w/ considerable fading. Pouches have notable fraying and loose stitching. Workmanship indicates work done at lower echelon. PROVENANCE: The Collection of Edward Scott Meadows. (02-22178/RW). $600-900.
