LOT 709 .Winchester Model 1894 carbine, 25-35 cal., #353832. The carbine shows the flat-top front barrel band and retains 80%-90% original blue on barrel and magazine tube drifting at the edges and just starting to tone with some light surface pitting just starting. The frame has drifted to a brownish gray with traces of erosion and pinprick pitting. The rear sight is the early carbine type and there is a Lyman receiver sight added to the rear of the frame. There are some scratches and mars, a brand cut into the stock and the stock shows a rifle type of buttplate and rifle-type stock, which is in fair condition. There are marks at the breech that may indicate return to factory. The action is good and bore very good. The front beech sight shows the cover removed. Est.: $400-$800.

LOT 710 Winchester Model 1892 saddle-ring carbine, 25-20 cal., with all features as standard on this model, with period Lyman-type tang sight, #874441. The carbine shows approximately 30%-40% original blue on barrel and magazine tube evenly thinning on tops and edges with some scattered erosion and pinprick pitting just starting where the finish is lost. There are some minor scratches. The barrel address and markings are good. The frame has drifted to traces of original blue and shows some light to slightly heavy scattered erosion and surface pitting, and the areas of heavier pitting are small. The rifle is equipped with gumwood or beech wood stocks that are good with some dings, mars, scratches and cleaning. The action is good, bore is near excellent. The original carbine rear sight saddle ring and carbine parts are retained. Est.: $600-$1,200.

LOT 714 Remington First Type Over and Under derringer, .41 cal rimfire, made without extractor, address E. Remington & Sons, Ilion, New York, on left rib, Elliot’s Patent on right rib, in very good original condition showing considerable original blue, wood grips, #1054. The barrel shows approximately 40%-60% bright blue drifting to patina with some minor wear at the edges and some light erosion and pinprick pitting just starting. Tight barrels against the hinge with no cracks or defects. The frame has drifted to patina with traces of original blue and just starting to show normal age, erosion, etc. The varnish wood grips are good showing even wear and loss of varnish, some slight scratches and slight handling and carry with a few dents but generally good. The small parts and screws show some bright original blue and there is some fiery blue on the ribs. The interior is very good+ to near fine and a cared-for derringer that has only been carried and lost its finish naturally. $1,500-$3,000.

LOT 715 Remington Elliot Patent (Mississippi) derringer, .41 cal., single shot, factory blue finish, varnish wood grips, #3218. The derringer remains in very good+ fine original condition showing 75%-85% bright original blue on barrel. Frame shows 20%-30% blue drifting to patina with some light erosion and pinprick pitting just starting where the blue has lifted. The varnish wood grips are good to very good with 75%-85% evenly thinning varnish, some slight wear at the edges and minor small marks. The trigger and hammer show 90%+ bright blue finish. The barrel address is sharp, crisp and fully legible. The action is tight; the bore near excellent. A far better-than-average Remington Mississippi with a lot of bright blue. Est.: $1,500-$3,000.

The gun retains approximately 80%-90% original blue thinning at the edges and operating areas with some brightening at the areas where the finish is lost, some minor scratches but good metal surfaces. Good wood stocks showing some minor scratches, mars and normal use. The gun retains its original Winchester recoil pad and the original Winchester hard rubber buttplate. The action is good; the interior is very good. One of Winchester’s early experiments into the semi-automatic field. Est.: $300-$600.

LOT 718 Winchester Model 1901 10-gauge lever-action shotgun, 32” barrel, reblued finish, hard rubber recoil pad added, #76366. The shotgun shows 95% of an old reblued finish, some pitting on the receiver, legible markings on frame and barrel, originally full choked. The stock has been nicely refinished and a modern recoil pad added as previously mentioned. The action is good; the bore is bright and very good. A favorite for re-enactors and western enthusiasts. LOT 719 Winchester Model 1887 12-gauge lever-action shotgun, brown patina finish, standard wood stocks, barrel reduced to 25-1/2”, #35585. The shotgun shows a brown patina finish with traces of blue mixed in, some scattered light to moderate erosion and surface pitting mixed in. The markings on the frame are visible, and also well marked on the tang. The stocks are worn and fair to good with dings, mars, scratches, some cracks at the wrist area and small losses along the edges and around the butt. The action is good; bore is bright. The Low Wall is in good condition showing a light cleaning to gray metal with traces of original patina where not cleaned, some minor erosion and pinprick pitting. The stocks have been lightly refreshed, slightly sanded and still fit the metal well and are good. The markings and action are good. The front sight is replaced with a horn blade. The bore is fair. LOT 725 Walther manufactured P-38 Nazi proofed, blue finish, composite grips with holster and extra clip, #3094. The P-38 remains in very good+ original condition showing 85%-95% original blue thinning at its muzzle and edges and high points with some light erosion and pin prick pitting just starting where the finish is lost. The edges are sharp, the markings are crisp; the grips are very good+ to near fine with just some slight handling and wear. The P-38 shows a full compliment of military inspections; all matching serial numbers, tight action, very good bore and a P-38 marked late clip is included along with a P-38 marked pigskin holster of the proper age in good condition with extra P-38 U marking.
