Foot Stool
This is, in fact, an authentic Camel Saddle, brought home by an uncle after his service in the Med with the USAF in the late 1950s. Green pad covered in naugahyde, with very minor damage (small cut). The lashings were recently replaced with a synthetic, as the original had decayed. Reasonably sturdy, though it feels a bit loose when handled (necessary, I suppose, to be able to fit different camels!). |

Whatzit Table
Not quite sure what this was meant to be, but I bought it for the wood. Much of the frame appears to be oak, with the rest veneered poplar to match the oak. Missing pieces or veneer are NOT included. The drawer is poplar with dovetail construction, which is a bit of a surprise. Hard to date this, but I would guess primitive Arts & Crafts, ca. 1930-40. Measures 28" H x 20" W x 16" D, this would make a good base for a small TV. It will certainly need a great deal of work to get it into shape, but it is very sturdy and solid! Rolls on metal casters. |

Rug
Vintage Afghan rug. From description provided by Dana Kelly, an experienced dealer and appraiser in Lexington, KY: "Kelim, Afghanistan, 1.10 [m] x 9.3 [m]. Contemporary in age. Probably woven by women of a Balouchi group. Usually this was part of a dining set now separated. Having a wool warp and wool face with soumac work in the bands separating the "mountain" motif one finds in the field of the weaving. The warp has multicolored wool finishings. The blue/green coloration found varies due to the fact that this wool has to be double dyed to acquire this color. Condition is very good, no repair noticed. $350.00". |

Farm Sign
"Still House Holler Farm". Located in Garrard Co. KY, the farm was rumored by long-time residents to have harbored a "moonshine" still in one of the "hollows" (gullies) on the 70-acre property. The consignor's late step-father once found the remains of a large, wooden barrel and some metal items that could have been the remains of a still. The sign is contemporary, but naturally weathered after hanging outside of the farm workshop for several years. |
