Early 1st Production SA Dagger With Scabbard By Eickhorn-Rare Small "a" Motto Lot #17 (Sale Order 19 of 152) In excellent condition-Early nickel fittings throughout. Scabbard with anodized finish has one small "ding". Crisply etched blade motto having the early Eickhorn 1st production lower case "a" spelling. The underside of the cross guard is number stamped 4 as is proper for these early run daggers. Grip eagle is typical "high neck" Eickhorn eagle. rare large double oval maker mark. Blade has a few small areas of age spotting and still retains a lot of the original factory cross graining. Not many of these 1st productions around and missing from most collections...Especially in this exemplary condition!

Prussian/WW1 German Pickelhaube "Spike" Helmet Lot #18 (Sale Order 20 of 152) Leather chinstrap for EM/NCO. Appears to be named-unit marked and maker marked. In overall very good condition.

Scarce 1920's "Der Stahlhelm" Flag Bearers Gorget Lot #19 (Sale Order 21 of 152) Identified in reference books as the 2nd type lightweight Gorget. The crescent shape of the Gorget appears to be made of a copper alloy having a rolled border. The center area features an applied silvered image having an oval depiction in the center flanked by a pair of Imperial flags on each side. The flags are equipped with pointed pole tops. The lower portion of the depiction is bordered with laurel leaves. In the center oval, there is an applied steel WWI helmet having the pressed-in lettering in the helmet center, "Der Stahlhelm". Engraved above and below the helmet is the town/area from whence the Gorget was used, "Ortsgruppe/Sterley…". The engraving is professionally accomplished. At the two upper corners of the plate are silvered fluted bosses. The reverse is equipped with tabs in the upper corners that retain the neck chain. The neck chain consists of alternating brass links in the shape of circles and ovals, each having a geometric design on the front and reverse surfaces. There is no covering material on the reverse of the Gorget plate, and it does not look like it ever had any. The Gorget chain consists of alternating oval and round links with a geometric design and gilt finish.

Early Eickhorn Trademark NSKK Dagger With Scabbard-Possibly Ground Rohm Lot #22 (Sale Order 24 of 152) Blade with early small Eickhorn double oval trademark is close to the cross guard indicating possibly a ground Rohm example. Standard script engraved/etched blade motto. Blade does show age graying. All nickel fittings with a number 6 stamping on the underside of the cross guard as was typical of early produced Eickhorn SA daggers. Scabbard body shows normal period wear to the fittings and black painted finish. The upper interior scabbard throat blade sleeve is loose and has a slight rattle. In overall good condition.

WW2 U.S. Army KIA Officially Engraved Purple Heart Lot #60 (Sale Order 62 of 152) Purple Heart name engraved to Joseph F. Vogel of Essex County, New Jersey. The official period engraving is known as the Type C Government engraving. This style of machine engraving began around December 1944. Sgt. Vogel served with the 112th Infantry Regiment/28th Infantry Division and was killed in action on 12-23-44 while the 112th took up the rear guard while other 3rd army troops pulled back during the Battle Of The Bulge. It does have condition issues due to the zinc alloy breaking down causing softness to the detail…Scabbard is nice as is the bright steel Eickhorn maker marked blade. Bakelite grip is crack free and unusual (for Eickhorn) twisted wire configuration. Please see photos for condition and make your own judgements as to degree of deterioration of hilt fittings.

The tunnels of the Dora-Nordhausen camp was where German Scientists were working on the V-2 rockets and Jet propulsion technology. On defendant was hanged while the 3 scientists that were on trial were acquitted and went on to work at NASA! This particular trial was the only War Crimes Trial that was a U.S. only panel of judges. It has a lot of places that have been repaired indicating is has been well worn. A couple of the snaps appear to have been replace. These are offered unissued by some military surplus outfitters but to find one that has apparently seen action is scarce.

Rare Late 1800's/Early 1900's Wells Fargo Western Division Belt Buckle Plate-Edward Rose & Co. Lot #144 (Sale Order 146 of 152) Thick brass/bronze 2 piece construction. Crisp detail. The center medallion has been separately applied. The reverse is maker stamped "EDWARD ROSE & CO. CHICAGO" With the letters WF and appears to be number stamped 8329 or 5329…Hard to tell as the 1st number has been over stamped. The 2 brass belt slides have been braised on each end. One has come loose on one end. This is not one of the 1970's reissue buckles. We did find a couple of recent auction sales of the same type buckle (Different) number stamping) where this type buckle sold for a fairly high value!

Waffen SS General Staff Officer's Leather Overcoat-Shoulder Rank For Standartenfuhrer (Col.) Lot #149 (Sale Order 151 of 152) Charcoal grayish-blue leather. It does show wear and stitch separation at the shoulder seams. Matching slip on shoulder boards with black wool underlay and light gray piping with 2 pips for branch and rank of Waffen SS General Staff Standartenfuhrer. There is wear to each of the boards. Interior has the dagger hanger strap with spring clip. The left pocket has the hanger slit. Very unique is the fact the left sleeve has a "pocket" hidden in the cuff! There are two buttons missing on the lower right side of the wearer. The buttons on the rear "belt strap" are also missing. In overall very good condition with rare Waffen SS shoulder boards!

Rare Military Soldier Bronze Sculpture With Dedication PlaqueTo WW1 Navy Cross Recipient Lot #150 (Sale Order 152 of 152) Detailed bronze sculpture depicting a charging WW1 French/Belgium soldier with fixed bayonet. The base is signed G. Flamand (Georges Flamand) a notable Art Nouveau Period French sculptor. The front side of the base has the sculpture's name of " A. Lascaux" . The small plaque is hand engraved "To Captain Pennington USS Carola Dec. 25, 1918 From Your---Orchestra" John D. Pennington was actually the rank of Lieutenant while the commanding officer of the USS Carola IV. Pennington was awarded the Navy Cross for "Distinguished service in the line of his profession in Command of the USS Carola IV, and the Naval Barracks at Brest. Starting with nothing more than a mere building, Lt. Pennington, by his individual efficiency and energy fitted out these barracks, which he commanded until the expiration of the war. The efficient administration of his command was one of the most important aids to the efficiency and contentment of the Naval Forces in France" Sculpture is mounted on a finished rectangular wood base. It measures approx. 12" tall not including the height of the base. The rifle is a separate piece with attached sling. The bayonet does have a crack but is still intact. Amazing piece of history! Just the sculpture alone and without dedication to an early Navy Cross winner is very rare and desirable. Do your research on this artist and prices realized for other sculptures!
