HI-STANDARD MODEL "B" .22rf semi-auto pistol Lot #10 (Sale Order 12 of 235) This was H-S' first gun, a remake of the Hartford Arms Mdl. 25, a company which H-S purchased. This gun appears to have been refinished into a very attractive target pistol. Front sight modified to sharp blade. If it was refinished, the job was done without harming the original stampings, although the serial number usually found on front of the grip strap is no longer there. Serial number 736 is stamped into the bottom of the slide. (This is probably only the last 3 digits of a longer serial number, as this gun is certainly a much later variation.) Bore and mechanics are excellent. However, like ALL older guns it should be checked by a reliable and competent gunsmith before firing. Right grip has small pieces missing near bottom. Reproduction grips are available. A beautiful old target pistol. C&R eligible. (200-300)

HI-STANDARD MODEL "B" .22rf semi-auto pistol. Serial number 27326 Lot #11 (Sale Order 13 of 235) very good finish and bore. Slight bluing wear on front of grip strap. According to a very reliable Hi-Standard source, this gun was shipped Aug. 18, 1937 to Bauer Hardware Co. in Haynesville, LA. Mechanically very crisp and locks up tightly. However, like ALL older guns, it should be checked by a reliable and competent gunsmith before firing. Original grips still sharp with no cracks or chips. This was a remake of the Hartford Arms Mdl. B semi-auto, which became the H-S Model "B' when H-S bought the Hartford Co. A beautiful old target pistol and nice addition to any collection of early American handguns. (200-300)

DAISY-HEDDON VL .22 RIFLE. Serial number AO1127. NEW, unfired! Lot #31 (Sale Order 39 of 235) This is the only production rifle of its kind in the world, the caseless ammo rifle! The powder charge is molded onto the rear of the lead projectile so there was no wasted brass to eject. Friction heat ignited the charge! This is Daisy's Top End, PRESENTATION GRADE rifle, still in its hard carrying case, still has all original papers, and is being offered with 4,000 rounds of original ammo still in their bricks. The rifle was stored away new, and the owner never had the brass plate on the stock engraved. Original brass hangers and screws, Owner's Manual, ALL paperwork is still with this unusual piece of American history. Left hinge arm has come loose on the case lid over the years. Here is info I received from Daisy about these rifles, " Daisy produced the VL Rifle in 1968-1969. There were 3 models, the collector's model, which was made for individual collectors with their name and up to the first 1000 serial numbers. The presentation models were the same as the collector's except, they were made for retail sales so they didn't have a name on them and they put the next 2000 serial numbers on the presentation models. They retailed for $125.00. Jules V an L anghoven was the man who worked on the gun." Only two years of production and less than 2000 Presentations made, PLUS, we're including 4000 rounds of no-longer-made ammo! A great collectible. (400-600)
