1820s Boston Banjo Clock w/Reverse Painted Panel Lot #156 (Sale Order 156 of 429) Great looking Clock! Measures 35" to the top of the cast iron Eagle. The first name above Boston appears to be Samuel. Included with the clock is a letter written to the consignor from the previous owner discussing the history of the clock and of the family. The letter is dated April 7, 1954. The letter states that the family that owned this clock originally lived in Newton Corner, MASS (7 miles from Boston). In 1875 that family moved to Kansas bringing their furniture and this clock. When his grandmother died they inherited the clock and "As we were well supplied at the time the clock wasn't used by the family." This letter was written by the inheritor when he was 91 years old in 1954. I think it's just great to have this history with the clock!

Unique Prattware Figural Spill Vase Lot #174 (Sale Order 174 of 429) Rare is a term that is thrown around too often today, but I feel it applies to this piece justly. This is a Prattware, figural spill vase that measures 8 1/8" tall and the base measures approximately 8 1/4" across. The shepherd watching his sheep in front of the tree is a great scene, especially with all of the birds and squirrel in the tree. But notice the snake that is wrapped around the entire tree with it's open mouth just above the shepherd. Truly outstanding. There are 3 chipped fenceposts (pictured). The fence was made flat and wrapped around the scene and you can see where the gap was filled in at the front.

Almost like the fine print and it reads "In the Senate, Thurday September third, Pinchback rose to a question of privilege, and said: I want to tell them to beware, I want to tell them they have nearly reached the end of their string. The next outrage of the kind which they commit will be the signal for the dawn of retribution - a retribution of which they have not dreamed: a signal that will cause ten thousand torches to be applied to this city, for patience will then have ceasedto be a virtue, and this city will be reduced to ashes." Rare Lazy Susan Primitive Dining Table Lot #397 (Sale Order 398 of 429) WOW!!! We are so excited about this table. Looks to date to 1860-80 by the construction and square nails. Good looking Southern Yellow Pine makes up the table. Measures 60 1/2" across and the stationary table measures 29 3/4" tall. The senter section has 3 tiers, but they move as one unit. All four legs have been extended. After closer examination it looks like all four legs have had 3 inches added to make the table sit higher. All of the extensions appear to have been done at the same time and with the same stock of timber. Looks like the original finish. No paint traces found anywhere.

1890s Blocked Quilt. Unusual Lot #421 (Sale Order 422 of 429) Notice how there are several patterns in this piece and that they actually make a nice, overall geometric pattern. Measures 70" X 74" and is in good to excellent condition. No tears or rips, just a bit faded.
