According to an article published March 18, 2007 in the Yakima Herald Republic, (yakimaherald.com) - "Many people believe A-No. 1 was, in fact, Leon Ray Livingston, author of more than a dozen books on hobos and the railways. Livingston, who was born in 1872, wrote "Life and Adventures of A-No. 1: America's Most Celebrated Tramp," "The Trail of the Tramp" and "From Coast to Coast with Jack London." Most of his books were published in the early 1900s by A-No.1 Publication Co. in Erie, Pa., where he is believed to have died in 1944." |

Polar Bear and Cub Lost Wax Cast Bronze by Sculptor Wah Chang Polar Bear and Cub Lost Wax Cast Bronze by Sculptor Wah Chang (1917-2003) circa 1973. Signed and numbered. This is one of Wah Changs earlier works cast in an edition of 250 and is cast #172. Born in Hawaii and living in San Francisco at age 21, in 1939 Wah became the youngest member of the Disney Studios Effects and Model department where he worked with the animators of Pinocchio. Over the next 30 years, Wah Chang was well known for his work with many studios doing special effects.
