Pictures, Pictures - Your pictures were large - best on the internet!!! We could actually see what we were bidding on. We could expand them to full screen. Evidently most internet bidding companies haven't actually looked at the pictures after posting or they really don’t care about the online bidders because their pictures don’t show enough detail to allow us to bid confidently. Those pictures are our only way to determine the value of the lot which determines how much we will bid. Thank you, thank you.

It was so fascinating, that I stayed for most of the day. I had no idea it would last as long as it did. Some of the items that I had earmarked to bid on were at the very end of the list of items, so I would leave the computer and go do other things, but stayed logged in to the site and would check back periodically. But I was greatly entertained by the auctioneers. This was my first auction of this kind, with a real auctioneer. I had only previously done the Ebay type of auctions. Sometimes I had no idea what they were or saying, but the longer I stayed, the more I got the hang of it. As long as I kept track of what was on the screen and not pay too much attention to what I was hearing (because of the delay), I was okay. It was fun.

The phone call ahead was good and it was a good suggestion to go into view mode only the day before. I also liked that the person at the auction could send out messages which you could see. It was very easy to see where the bid was and I liked the 'once, twice, sold' feature. Overall, very good.

This was my first time using Proxibid, and I found your whole process easy to follow and felt it worked very well. I purchased one item, and I think partly because of the slower pace of Theriault auctions, it was very comfortable bidding. I have been on other online auction sites, one recently through Ebay Live, where the items were closed down very quickly, but this seems to be more the "fault" of the auctioneers who are used to a fast pace and aren't seeing that the online bidder needs that fraction of a second more response time. That auction screen did not have the going once going twice light feature you have. If all your hosted auctions use this screen that would imply that the pace would be consistent in Proxibid sales. I am intrigued enough to want to check out the services available, partly because I work for an auction house which has not yet gone live, but is considering it. I found about Proxibid on the auction company auction flyer. The process was actually easier and worked better than I expected. We bid on the items we were interested in buy did not purchase any items. We did not realize that pre-bidding ended 30 minutes before the sale started. Probably should make that more clear. We liked to be able to bid on items that we were interested in without having to make a round trip of over 1600 miles. I will use the service again when items that I need are sold at auction. We realized soon after the auction started that my personal computer with a phone line connection was going to be too slow and went to a friend’s house that had a fast cable connection and the speed that I got my bids in was amazing. Will use again in the future when I have a chance. My only comment for improvement would to be to add sound to the auction. Thanks, Dan.

My registration for the on line bidding process went through with the assistance of a young man who I believe gave his name as Phillip. However, after the download time, the gavel never showed on the screen. The proxibid gentleman was kind enough and patient enough to stay on the telephone with me as I bid on several items I did not win. After some time he offered to place a bid for me and later called back to inform me I had won the item. Thus, I was able to enjoy the auction both online and in person the next day.
