The first elk hunt in Kentucky in more than 150 years took place in 2001. The RMEF has had the privilege each year to auction this tag at our national convention and this year another lucky bidder will hunt elk in the Blue Grass State. In six years, Kentucky has gone from zero elk to an impressive, healthy herd of more than 3,500 head in Kentucky's 2.6 million acre, 14-county elk restoration zone. The state record has been broken in two of the past three hunts. Don't pass up this rare opportunity to hunt elk in the beautiful Cumberland Mountains of Kentucky.
