Melt Value: $914.57 Face Value $10. Contains .4806 ounces of gold. Christian Gobrecht designed the Liberty Head Gold Eagle, which was first struck in 1838. Additionally, the third chief engraver of the United States Mint has also designed Seated Liberty coinage, which was largely produced from the late 1830s to the early 1890s. This coin has been set into a pendant. The coin is not damaged by the pendent and can be removed. The weight of the coin with the pendent is 22 grams or .776oz. The coin itself measures approximately 1" across. The pendent measures approximately 1.5" across. See photos.
