SPECS: DA/SA trigger, blued military finish, 6" slab-sided ribbed barrel, fixed notch rear sight, pinned square blade front sight, diamond checkered Bakelite grips, lanyard ring and original 6-shot cylinder that has been shaved .060" at the rear to accommodate the use of .45 ACP ammunition. CONDITION: This revolver is in nice condition with various light wear, has an excellent sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. HISTORY: The Webley Mark VI was a top-break, self-extracting revolver that was introduced in 1915 during World War I. It would remain the primary side-arm of the British military until 1928, but continued to see service through WWII and was only retired in 1963. It's known for its robust design, durability, and the .455 Webley cartridge it fired. As supplies of .455" ammunition became difficult to obtain, many Mark VIs had the rear of the cylinder shortened by approximately 0.060" to allow the use of .45acp in half moon clips as used with the Colt and Smith & Wesson Model 1917 revolvers. SHIPPING - We offer free shipping anywhere within the continental US. All firearms must be sent to an FFL (or C&R if applicable) regardless of age or caliber. This includes antiques & muzzleloaders.
