1928 Ford Model A Grocery Wagon. This fully restored Model A "Huckster wagon" was originally used as a grocery delivery vehicle and was displayed at Living History Farms in Urbandale, Iowa before being purchased in 2004 for the Hemken Collection. The hucksters were used for many purposes and built by outside craftsmen who would build the rear sections to specifications using high quality wood. The name huckster is derived from the term used to describe someone who sells small items door to door or from a small store. Typical huckster wagons began life as Model A pickup trucks with the rear bed discarded and the huckster body built and installed. Delivery trucks were commonly used as were train depot hucksters to transport luggage. This one is completely drivable and ready to make that next delivery.
