According to Ruger's online serial number database, this Mini-14 Rifle was produced in 1976 and is marked "MADE IN THE 200th YEAR OF AMERICAN LIBERTY". SPECS: Smooth walnut full-length Mannlicher-style stock with raised cheek/ fluted comb & glossed finish, blued metal grip cap, checkered metal buttplate with blued finish, high luster blued receiver/ slide/ barrel & nose cap band, 18.5" barrel with 3/4 length black synthetic upper handguard, serrated ramp front sight with hooded brass bead, sling swivels with brown tooled leather sling, Wichita scope base with mounted Weaver K4-W scope and 5-round blued steel detachable box magazine. CONDITION: This rifle is in nice condition with very light wear, has an excellent sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. HISTORY: Introduced in 1974, the Mini-14 resembles a smaller version of the military M14 rifle. It has an investment cast, heat-treated receiver that is mechanically similar to the M1 Garand rifle with a breech-bolt locking system and a fixed-piston gas system. In 1982, Ruger introduced the Mini-14 "Ranch Rifle" with an integral scope base on the receiver and a new folding-aperture rear sight. In 2003, the standard Mini-14 was discontinued and replaced with the Ranch Rifle design. SHIPPING - We offer free shipping anywhere within the continental US. All firearms must be sent to an FFL (or C&R if applicable) regardless of age or caliber. This includes antiques & muzzleloaders. PLEASE READ ALL TERMS BEFORE PARTICIPATING: There is no live crowd, no phone bidding, no left bids and we do not accept payment through the mail.
