Item Details
With 126,000 miles on the odometer, this Benz is just coming into its prime years. These engines are well known for their longevity and this one is a great example. Always being stored indoors and spending every November to May in storage has kept this vehicle in prime condition. Tires have approx. 8,000 on them. In 2017 a full tune-up was done with new plugs etc. After coming out of winter storage in May 2018, the car was uncharacteristically being difficult to start. Brought to a very experienced and knowledgeable Benz mechanic, it was found that some of the vacuum hoses were beginning to crack. After replacing all the hoses in the engine compartment, along with the Throttle Actuator and Voltage relay, the car went back to its old self and now fires up right way. Even after its long winter storage periods. It now runs and drives like it’s new again. If you have never driven one, there is nothing like old school Benz power and handling. 2500 RPM will get you to 82 MPH and if you don’t pay attention, you will crack 90 and not even feel like you are moving. (Don’t try this at home folks.) I had to unwrap the hardtop from being stored for these photos as it has not been on the car in 7 years. Car is always in the garage under a cover with the top down, ready to go when the day is going to stay nice. (Car has not seen rain in MANY years.) Look underneath and there is no rust to be found. As you can see from the photos the car is in beautiful condition and ready to move into your garage. Only known issue is that the power antenna needs help going down. (Works fine going up.)
