Fine two gallon example made by JP Reid born 1861-1930. This is a great example with a outstanding glaze. This example was found in the Reid family estate in Marietta Georgia. This is a family piece of the Reid family and which makes more a treasure to own a family example. This is a unsigned example and we strongly believe this piece was potted in Paulding Co. which Tyler Newsome has done extensive research in Paulding Co. pottery, and has shed a lot of light on Paulding and the potters of the region-era. The jug is in outstanding original condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. It has a few glaze voids, very minor. Great family example and will stand out in any collection.
