Fine engraved Smith & Wesson Model 60, double action revolver, .38 Special .cal. SN R105890. Snubnose. Presentation box w/ badge & letter. Letter is signed Joe R. Lewis, stating that revolver was engraved by Texas Department of Public Safety State Trooper & Master Engraver, Burt Sinclair. Presented to Texas Ranger, JB Hunt, some time in the 1970s. Letter goes on to say that Hunt carried the revolver for some time. Hunt's name & Texas driver's license are stenciled onto the revolver's frame, under the grips. The revolver was later sold to Lubbock County Sherrif, Bill Ervin. Revolver is in excellent condition, w/ silver Ranger badge inlaid in stag grips. Revolver, presentation case , & letter will sell as 1 lot. (MOD)
