1981 Yamaha 650 special. VIN # JYA4M400XBA014011. Two cylinder, v-twin. Odometer reads 6,346.6 miles. No rust. Bike was house-kept for many years. Currently not running. Front brake caliper is currently detached. Front brake fluid has conjeeled and needs to be cleaned out to function. Two seat with low, padded sissy bar and luggage rack. Also included is a new right exhaust pipe with gaskets.

Map of Northern Africa by Richard Blome--1667

Lot # 2001 (Sale Order: 2 of 394)      

Copper plate, hand-colored engraved map titled "A Generall Mapp of the Coast of Barbarie, Where In Are The Kingdoms And Estates Of Morocco, Fez, Algier, Tunis and Tripolis..." by Richard Blome and engraved by Francis Lamb in 1667. Map displays a line of 36 armorials across the top of the plate. The map was engraved for Blome's Geographical Description of the World that was the first English atlas of the world published in England. Map is framed and measures 14.25" x 42.75" (sight). Frame measures 16.5" x 45". Map, which consists of 2 sheets mounted side by side, exhibits evidence of folds, toning, some foxing with a small area at lower left center with small tear and abrasion.

The map was engraved for "Atlas nouveau, contenant toutes les parties su Monde, ou sont exactement remarquees les empires, monarchies, royaumes...". Map is framed and measures 19" x 23" (sight). Frame measures 21.25" x 25". Map exhibits some toning and some foxing.

Civil War Related Portrait Plaques

Pair of Civil War related portrait plaques including; 1.) Profile bust portrait in brass/bronze of John Grubb Parke (1827-1900). Portrait measures 15" x 9" and is mounted on 24" x 15" wood plaque. Bottom portion of metal stamped "J.G. Parke, Maj. Gen.". John Grubb Parke from Chester County, Pennsylvania was a United States Army engineer and a Union general in the American Civil War. 2.) Profile bust portrait in brass/bronze of George Gordon Meade (1815-1872). Portrait measures 14.5" x 9" and is mounted on wood plaque measuring 21.5" x 15.75" (plaque lacks top wood decorative piece). Bottom portion of metal presents signature "E.A. Kretschman Sculpt." and "Miller & Co. Phila". George Gordon Meade was a Union General during the American Civil War and commanded the Union Army at Gettysburg. The artist of the plaque is Edward A. Kretschman (1849-1923) was a sculptor famed for historical and Civil War related portraiture.
