You are bidding on a 1954 Ford Crown Victoria Custom Hotrod. U4DF166147. Title. This amazing car was designed to look like a Mercury custom. This car is a Keith Kaucher award winning custom. It started life as a 1954 Ford Custom. The car comes with 2 books of builds and designs and pictures of the build. A team of custom builders from Starlite Rod & custom in Torrance, CA worked with Keith on the build. The front clip was swapped with a Mercury front clip for that Mercury look and stretching the chassis 3 inches. The headlights were frenched in and reworked to fit a 1954 Chevrolet Grille. The taillights and bezels and rear were also customized with pieces from a 1960 Corvette, 1962 T-bird, and a 1967 Camaro. A 1965 Buick Wildcat roof was swapped with the 54 Ford roof. This give it that sleek design and look. The color was chosen and is DuPont Purple Rhapsody and laid down in multiple coats for that depth. The car has many chrome accents on the body and motor. It has aftermarket rims and wide white walls. Bullet Mooneyes with bullet lug nuts. It give it the old school vipes. The car has hydraulics and lowers for that cool stance. The interior is matching purple and white custom interior, under the hood and in the trunk. The interior has creature comforts including climate control, audio, tilt, and aftermarket steering wheel. Retro gauges by Redline. It has Rack and pinion steering coming from a 1989 Chevrolet Cavalier and Fatman fabrication kit. It has Firestone airbags and 9 inch Ford rear end. Custom X Crossmember and Rear disc brakes. The motor is a 390 V8 block that has been reworked and rebuilt by LA Crank in Los Angeles... A Rare 1963 Ford 406 Tri-Power Aluminum intake sends the fuel supplied by a trio of Holley 350-cfm carbs to a pair of 1964 cast iron heads and shorty headers. The motor has been dressed up with lots of chrome. it has a 1967 Ford FE top loader manual transmission with Centerforce clutch package with custom shift handle. This car called the "Fifty4" has amassed 17 trophies and awards since it debuted at the Grand National Roadster Show in January of 2006. It has won even the George Barris Best of Show award in 2006. It has also won a Custom Top 10 award at Rod & Custom. It has won a Eagle One Excellent Choice award at the Good Guys West Coast National Show. This car was also displayed at SEMA.
