Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Chupicauro, ca. 400 - 100 BC. Lovely handmade Chupicauro blackware seed jar. Bulbous body with petite birdlike beaks and eyes protruding from opposite sides. Size 7" W x 5 1/2" H. Condition: Areas of restoration and repair as shown.. Provenance: ex-Gordon Dickensheet Antique Gallery, San Diego, CA. Bought in the early 1980's.. ex-Private California collector, Authenticity Guaranteed by Scollard Auctions.
