Item Description: Translate description
Pre-Columbian, Valley of Mexico, Tlatilco culture. Tlatilco hand built pottery head,with cinnabar pigment remaining throughout. Ear adorned with large ear spools, ovoid impressed eyes, frowning thin lips, and petite triangular nose. Fragment size 3 7/8" H on included custom stand.. Condition: Fragment of a larger piece, minor loss to ears, else in good condition.. Provenance: ex-Dr. J. Hilsabeck collection, Orange County, California, USA collection. Collected in the 1960-1980's. ex-Private California collector, Authenticity Guaranteed by Scollard Auctions.
