Pre Bids Prior to Auction - Legacy Auctions can see the pre bids before the auction starts. This information is used to determine starting bids and speed up the auction process. Just as Absentee Bids are received in house, the starting bid will begin at half of the left bid, unless there are competing left bids. Therefore, a bid of $100 on an item will start at $50, unless there is a competing bid from another absentee bidder. If there are competing bids, bidding will begin at the higher bid for the bidder with the higher bid. ie: X bids 100.00 on lot 10. Y bids 75.00 on the same lot, Z bids 87.50. Bidding on lot 10 would start at 100.00, as that would be the next bid increment after 87.50. If you as a bidder object to the house seeing the bids, you can always bid live to keep the bid secret. Hand Guns MUST ship Overnight or 2nd Day Air. Firearms purchases are subject to a $12 background check fee. Handguns are subject to a $6.00 trigger lock purchase. (Or you may bring your own lock and it will be affixed to gun for leaving the premises to avoid this charge.) Be aware that any display items - Jewelry Necks or trays, baskets, boxes, etc. are used for display only and are the property of Legacy Auction & Estate Services. If a display item is included in the lot, it will be noted in the description. Any vintage clothes - assume there may be spots or minor damage. We cannot find everything. If buyer wishes to pick up an item from the Auction center, it must be done within 7 days of the auction, or storage fees will be incurred. Any item left over 30 days will be considered abandoned and Legacy Auction & Estate Services has the right to resell the item to recoup storage fees. Bidding Increments - Legacy Auctions does not use increments in amounts of less than $5.00. Therefore, a bid of 16.00 does not give a bidder an edge - the amount would have to be in 5.00 or greater increments. Auctioneer sets minimum bids at time of sale. If no bids reach that amount the item will be passed. It may or may not be offered in our next auction. The starting bid amount on Proxibid may be too low, and will not be honored if Auctioneer does not go that low during the Auction.
