Important Benjamin S. Salter (1847-1932) Decorated Baking Dish from Jugtown Delray, Georgia. This is hands down one of the finest southern baking dishes that we have ever seen. The decoration is with two rows of heavy combing and the top line with comb marks all the way around. This bowl is unsigned but we know where a signed pitcher with this same decoration. This is a fine addition to any collection and noteworthy to any museum. Condition is outstanding with only two rim flakes, nothing major or distracting. No cracks or repairs. Fresh example out of a Cumming area collection. Standing 6" Tall x 11 1/1/2" Wide Simply find another one.
