Item Description: Translate description
Standing female figure with triangular headdress and offering vessel. The figure features wide earrings and wears a dress, and long hair. The Pre-Classic period saw many well known cultures arise in and around Mexico with so called Chupicuaro figures as a central component. The primary site of these early figures is now underwater after an artificial lake was created by the Solid Dam. For similar examples from this region and other see the University of Oregon Museum of Natural and Cultural History. Size 4" H x 1 3/4" W. Condition: As-is condition with minor soiling and scratches.
