Also the highly sought after china plate teeth. The very nice details make this example one to add in the collection. This piece has dark earthy tones with Chester signature on the bottom. Arie Meaders Stipple Decorated Jar from the 1950s. This is classic Arie Meaders with the rare stipple grape decorations. The jar has countless stipple dots that form the grape decoration. Classic form and glaze mixture points to the only female on the mountain that made pottery. Great earthy Meaders green classic alkaline glaze. This example was attributed by Newton Crouch who wrote the pictorial guide along with Michael Crocker on Meaders Pottery. Again a fine example and scarce decoration. This is a scarce example of Thomas Co. Georgia and is the second know example. This is the first time we have seen in person on of the crock's. Truly a scarce example that will elevate any southern collection, also noteworthy of any stoneware museum. Condition - has a hairline that has been professionally stabilized and blended very well. A few minor normal wear chips from use and age. Nothing major or distracting. Found in Decatur estate, and fresh to the market. Standing 7 1/2" x 10 1/2" Wide

WR Addington Maysville Ga. Half Gallon Pitcher

Early W.R. Addington Maysville Georgia, Half Gallon Pitcher Circa 1870s this is a half gallon pitcher with a fantastic salt glaze with eye popping appeal, the handle and graceful form is just stunning in this pitcher. Classic mustard salty colored hughes all over the pitcher. Note this is a early example due to not having any kiln drips on the pitcher which points it into the early production period of Addington shop. Also note the stamp is a early stamp and very scarce. Stamp is in fancy script, not the typical block stamp you see on later examples. Fresh example out of a North Georgia collection for over 25 years. Condition, has two minor rim flakes, very minor, due to use and age. No cracks or repairs. Standing 7 3/4" Tall

Scarce 2gal Julius Ball Liquor Jug Tallahassee FL. Hands down the most important Liquor jug to come across the Cagle Auction Block. He started his liquor business in 1899-1900 and was in business for only one year. Not much is known about Julius Ball and he was given a license November 29, 1899. Its noted that in August 16, 1900 he was permitted to sell liquor in Leon Co. FL after this not much is known and this jug is extremely scarce and is going to be a great addition to any museum and FL liquor jug collection. This is the first example we have ever offered and the first we have ever seen.

This is one id have to say is one of the best signed LJ Lucius Jordan ( 1816-1880 ) or Washington Co. Georgia pieces of pottery we have offered before at Cagle Auction. This is truly a historic example by Lucius Jordan bowl that is circa 1845-1850's. All one can say is find another example and this one is wright as Washington County rain. The bowl is a fine classic Jordan glaze recipe with medium brown alkaline glaze with a large LJ stamp on the front. Has one incised line around the bowl that is top lop sided which gives great eye appeal. Overall a wonderful example of southern stoneware bowl. This is out of a fresh north Georgia collection. This example has three chips on the underside of the bowl nothing major, normal wear from use and age. No cracks or repairs. Fine example standing 4 1/2" Tall x 12" Wide at Rim

Rare Washington Co. Lucius Jordan Sorghum Jug

Early rare Washington Co. Lucius Jordan ( 1816-1880 ) Sorghum Jug that is just fantastic. Fine early 1850s Jordan ovid jug that goes with the timeline of 1850's and has great double handles. The handles are a classic Jordan feature that is second to none with his terminals both upper and lower. This jug is four gallon piece with a outstanding classic earthy oatmeal colored alkaline glaze that is found in his wares then a nice shading of paint rock along the lower base along with some iron burst in the body which give great character as well as eye appeal. The double handle sorghum jugs are very sought after and scarce to find in this monumental condition. This is the first example we've offered before. Fresh from a private Georgia collection. Condition is stellar with no cracks or repairs. Has one small glaze nick on the lip of jug. Other than that their is no issues. Very fine looking jug and again the double handles really set this vessel off very well. Standing 16" Tall

Beautiful Lucius Jordan Washington Co. Lidded Jar

Stellar example of a Lucius Jordan (1816-1880) 1845-1850 Washington Co, bean pot with original glazed lid. This is a two gallon lidded pot that has a very nice forest/olive green color alkaline glaze, same with the lid. Note the finger nail imprint on the left of the handle, which points to Lucius Jordan classic trait. Fantastic loop handles with thumbprint at lower terminal. The jar has had a professional glaze flake color restoration to one handle, note all that was done was coloring, retaining the original handle. No chips or cracks or other restoration. Fresh example from a collection near Washington Georgia. A fine addition to any Washington Co. or Georgia collection. Standing 12" Tall
