1954 Corvette (Barn Find) (E54S004007)
Lot # 250 (Sale Order: 157 of 661)
1954 Chevrolet Corvette Pennant Blue, 327 V8, Manual Transmission
This 1954 Chevrolet Corvette (VIN E54S004007) is a striking example of early American sports car design, tastefully upgraded for modern performance and drivability. Finished in Pennant Blue, one of only a few factory colors available that year, this Corvette stands out for its refined restoration and performance-minded upgrades.
Under the hood, the factory Blue Flame inline-six has been replaced with a high-compression 327 cu in Chevrolet V8, paired with a manual transmissiona combination that transforms the cars character while maintaining its classic Corvette spirit. The engine swap delivers the strong, responsive power these early C1s were missing, while still honoring the cars vintage roots.
The interior and convertible top have been fully redone and are not original to the car, offering a refreshed appearance and functionality over factory materials. The Pennant Blue exterior, complemented by polished chrome details and period-style wheels, gives the car an authentic 1950s presence with a subtly updated flair.
Originally built at Chevrolets St. Louis, Missouri plant, this Corvette is one of only 3,640 produced in 1954, and among a small subset believed to have been finished in Pennant Blue. The combination of rare color, upgraded V8 power, and manual transmission makes this car a standout restomod exampleideal for collectors who appreciate early Corvette styling with added performance and reliability.
