The recipient of a body-off no-expense-spared restoration this Oakland 6 is presented in green with black fender finish nice brightwork and pinstriping completing the correct look on this all-steel body by coachbuilder Fisher. It runs and drives well with its 6-cylinder engine and 3-speed manual transmission. Edward M. Murphy of the Pontiac Buggy Company began producing Oakland cars in 1908. Oakland was purchased by General Motors under GM and became an upper-medium priced car that sold well during the teens and into the 1920s. The Oakland Sedan listed for $1245 and production for 1929 totaled 50693 cars. This example still retains the stylings and luxury items that set this car apart in the late 20s such as rear footrest chrome divider bar that visually splits the radiator and emblems throughout.
