1957 PONTIAC STAR CHIEF CUSTOM SAFARI TRANSCONTINENTAL

Pontiac held back the introduction of the Transcontinental wagon to coincide with the release of the Bonneville, since they shared some side trim pieces. They were both introduced mid-model year in January 1957. 1,894 Transcontinental wagons were made. This one features a reclining front passenger seat with adjustable headrest. Equipped with its stock 347ci V8 engine, Hydramatic automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes and roof rack. The older restoration is presented in the original colors of Fontaine Blue and Kenya Ivory with matching blue and white leather upholstery.
