This 1973 Oldsmobile high-top ambulance is powered by an original Oldsmobile 455ci Rocket big-block professional series engine mounted to an automatic transmission and has 44000 original miles (mileage not indicated on the title). It has its original interior from the headliner to the equipment for rear compartment (power heat gurney mounts). It sits on a 1977 Chevy 3+3 4-door long-bed 4x4 chassis with heavy-duty Dana 60 axles. Truck frame was gone through very carefully to ensure no cracks or worn out parts. This custom rides on V-Tec Raptor chrome wheels wrapped with Mickey Thompson Baja Radial ATZ tires. Two rear tires are brand-new with less than 100 miles. The ambulance has emergency lights and siren and is finished in fresh and wild True Fire Flame paint. This is a one-of-a-kind completely airbrushed paint job done with custom-mixed House of Kolor pearl paint. The flames are a 10-layer system that took three days at 12 hours per day to airbrush and are layered over a black base and covered thoroughly with clear. The two-toned top is a one-of-a-kind mix of a red metallic base with purple blue and violet. The mural on the back is also hand-painted. This paint job is the real thing - no wraps or stencils. Paint was laid the second week of June 2012.
