single action. Manufactured in 1878 being renickeled with a nice action and strong hammer spring. The bore has shine with rifling showing some surface pitting. The renickeled finish shows a few losses most noticeable on the cylinder and some small spotting on the barrel and frame. The front sight is a fixed blade and the rear is a notch with the top of the barrel having a single line address and the bottom at the cylinder pin being marked "44". The left side of the frame has the standard 3 line patent marking and the serial number is present on the frame, trigger guard and back strap. The hammer has a checkered spur and shows very light freckling and some screw heads show deformation. Zettlemoyer Auction Co. is not a retail store. Bidders who bid from off site and choose not to preview understand and acknowledge that they may not be able to inspect an item as well as if they examined it in person. Due to the great volume of firearms in this auction it is impossible for us to fire live rounds thru every firearm to determine proper operation, we therefore rely on information provided by consignors on operation and/or condition that may not be able to be easily viewed. We make no warranty as to complete correct operation of any firearm.
We will be happy to respond to any questions by email or phone concerning condition and you may request additional photos. Please submit all questions by 4:00 PM on April 21, 2022. High resolution photos are available on request.

All items must be removed from the auction premises by 4:00 PM May 6, 2022, unless other arrangements are made prior to bidding. After that time ownership of any remaining items reverts to the seller and he shall have the right to resell or dispose of them at his discretion. Any property remaining on the premises is there at the buyer's risk and any loss or damage shall be born by the buyer.
The record of sale kept by the auctioneer and Proxibid will be taken as absolute and final in all disputes.
