Made by Luciano Giacosa in Brescia, Italy circa 1970 and marketed through EIG. Black leather holster is included. MATERIAL/FINISH: Blued steel barrel and cylinder. Case hardened hammer and loading lever. Hardwood stocks. CONDITION: Exterior fair. The lockup and timing is inconsistent; sometimes it goes into battery and sometimes it does not. SERIAL: 82027 DESIGN: A scarce variation of the early G.I. .45's. Frame manufactured by Springfield Arsenal in 1913 with the "United States Property" mark and flaming bom...moreb inspector's mark. Long trigger, no finger cut-outs on frame, flat mainspring housing, and short grip safety.  Diamond wood grips. Savage slide, with large flaming bomb with an "S" in the center. Savage did not make complete guns, only slides to supplement Colt's production in the early years of manufacture. CONDITION: Good. The frame shows an old reblue job with plenty of carrying after the job. The slide retains its original finish with some blue loss on the right side. NOTE: In 1927 the Argentine government contracted with Colt to purchase 10,000 Colt .45ACP pistols of the M1911A1 design. They were produced in their own serial number range of 1 to 10,000 and were called the Model 1927 Colt pistol. Afterwards, with Colt technological assistance, the Argentines set up their own arsenal to make clones of this design within their own country. MATERIAL/FINISH: Blued steel. Walnut grips.
