2x16 gauge & 8x57, 27" barrel group, S/N 14078. Blued finish, checkered walnut pistol-gripped stock with checkered wood butt, checkered forend. Matted rib barrel with flip up notch rear sight front sight blade with brass bead, as well as claw-mount scope base cuts. Adjustable double triggers. Right side of frame engraved: In Memory of Hollis E. May, Aviator, Sportsman & Shooter. Customized by B Kelly (stocker), P Duffill (engraver) and G Smith (barrels & boring), with a FWJ engraved monogram in the toe of the stock, formerly from the collection of the well-known, late gun writer, Frank James. Contained in a leather covered, compartmentalized travel case with a set of cleaning rods and some spare internal parts and springs.

Condition: Very good as refinished and refurbished. Barrels with thinning blue. Shotgun bores bright and fine; rifle bore needs to be cleaned. Mechanically functional, stock fine and crisp. Case very good to fine.

Four-way Picatinny flat top rail system, mounted with an EOTech L3 series night vision compatible holographic weapons sight, a GG&G mount for a sight magnifier, a Harris bi-pod and a GG&G rail mounted sling swivel with a tan webbing sling. Les Baer Custom's take on the classic patrol & self defense rifle in his .264 caliber. Includes a single 20-round magazine.

Current retail for this rifle without optics is $2,690, along with the associated wait for ordering from any top end custom gunsmith. This rifle is a bargain as there is no wait and includes a night vision compatible EOTech that retails in the $400-$500 range.

Blued finish, engraved receiver in the white, checkered, pistol-gripped stock with rubber Beretta butt pad, checkered Schnabel forend. 14.5" length of pull, gold plated single-select trigger, drop of comb 2.25". German Drilling

Lot # 4 (Sale Order: 4 of 497)      

16 gauge/8.8x72R, 27" barrels with matted rib, S/N 622. Blued and case hardened finish, checkered pistol-gripped walnut stock with raised cheek-rest and grooved horn buttplate, checkered forend. Exposed hammers, neatly engraved receiver with flowing foliate scrolls and game scenes. Folding notched rear sight, front sight blade, sling swivels, extractors. Two snap caps are included in the bores of the shotgun barrels.



Condition: Very good. Retains thinning and fading blue on the barrels giving the gun a plum brown appearance. Receiver a mostly silvery-gray color. All engraving remains crisp. Shotgun bores bright, rifle bore dirty and lightly pitted. Mechanically functional, stock with scattered bumps, dings and mars. Loading information for the rifle cartridge (including velocity and bullet drop information a various distances) is typed on an old, yellowed piece of paper and taped to the obverse buttstock.

***HK MP5SD Sear Gun

Lot # 13 (Sale Order: 13 of 497)      

9mm, 5.7" threaded barrel, S/N 11716. Blackened finish, polymer stock, forend and grip. This A3 configuration sub-gun is MP5SD marked on the top of the receiver, along with the usual West German proof marks and an IG date code, indicating manufacture in 1986. The right side of the magazine well is marked Made in W-GERMANY over the importer address: HK CHANTILLY, VA. The left side of the magazine well is marked Kal. 9mmx19. The short threaded barrel is mounted with a removable S&H Arms 9mm Suppressor (S/N 11716S) to match the gun. The SEF style, three-position trigger group has an single sided selector switch for Safe, Semi-Auto and Full-Auto firing, designated with the letters "S", "E" and "F", respectively. The gun has an S&H full auto sear, S/N 1274. The A3 configuration pistol grip has finger grooves and the usual retractable buttstock. The usual adjustable aperture rear sight and ringed-post front sight are in place, as well as a flip up front post with a tritium insert that no longer glows. The gun is accompanied by (3) 30-round HK straight magazines that are SD / MP5 HK marked. The magazines are dated 12/73, 11/74 and 4/79. An adjustable nylon sling is included.

This firearms is fully transferable on ATF Form 4. The removable suppressor makes this a two-transfer purchase as a tax stamp and transfer form must be completed for both the MP5 and the suppressor.



Condition: Very Good. Retains most of the original finish, showing light handling marks and use. Appears mechanically functional. Bore is good to very good, mostly bright with a ring near the chamber that may be old residue and some light scratches or tool marks in the bore as well. The barrel should probably be vigorously cleaned and inspected by a competent gunsmith prior to firing.

9mm, 8.9" threaded barrel, S/N 7920. Blackened finish, polymer stock, forend and grip. This A3 configuration sub-gun is HK94 and MP5 marked on the top of the receiver, along with the usual West German proof marks and an IF date code, indicating manufacture in 1985. The right side of the magazine well is marked Made in W-GERMANY over the importer address: HK CHANTILLY, VA. The left side of the magazine well is marked Kal. 9mmx19. The three-lug barrel is threaded for use with a suppressor and has a knurled thread cap. The "Navy" style, three-position trigger group has an ambidextrous selector for Safe, Semi-Auto and Full-Auto firing, designated with the usual HK bullet pictograms. The standard A3 configuration straight pistol grip and retractable buttstock are in place, as are the adjustable aperture rear sight and ringed-post front sight. The gun is accompanied by (5) 30-round HK curved magazines: one loose, two in an HK marked magazine coupler and two in an aftermarket coupler. Four of the magazines are IH date coded (1987) and one is IG coded (1986).

This firearms is fully transferable on ATF Form 4.

.223, 8.3" barrel, S/N A126846. Blackened finish, polymer stock and forend. Right side of magazine well marked: Made in Germany / HK Inc. / Arl. Va. 22201. Right side is marked HK 53 followed by the serial number, over Cal. .223 with German proof marks with the date code IB, indicating production in 1981. Three position trigger group with single sided selector switch, marked "0", "1" and "25", indicating "Safe", "Semi-Auto" and "Full-Auto". Switch appears to be welded up and extended. Adjustable aperture rear sight and ringed post front sight. Standard pistol grip with rudimentary finger grooves, adjustable stock with concave butt piece, dimpled forend with checkered vertical grip. Includes a single, unmarked 25 round steel magazine and a single synthetic "Pro Mag" magazine, marked 5.56x45. Also includes a green web sling. The HK53 combines the power of the 5.56x45 rifle cartridge with the compact size and ergonomics of the MP5 sub machine gun, providing the ultimate in firepower and convenience for entry teams or protective detail duty.

.44 Magnum, 4" barrel, S/N S168761. Blued finish, casehardened trigger and hammer, checkered wood grips with silver colored Smith & Wesson medallions. .5" checkered target hammer, .5" grooved trigger, adjustable white-outline rear sight, ramp front sight with red plastic insert. Contained in original Smith & Wesson black covered wood box with purple interior. Only about 6,500 of these early production, 5-screw, Pre-Model 29 revolvers were produced ca 1956-1958.

.45 ACP, 4.8" barrel, S/N TBU2698. Stainless finish, checkered black composite grips. Equipped with Novak-style sights with Trijicon tritium inserts. Conventional double-action/single-action mechanism with combination ambidextrous de-cocking lever/safety. Contained in a locking mahogany finished wood case with a dark blue velvet lining form fit to this gun, with a large gold-tone S&W medallion. The top of the case has an engraved brass name plate that reads FRANK JAMES. Frank James was a noted gun writer who authored articles for Shotgun News, Shooting Times and other magazines. Includes three magazines (1 with a rubber bumper and 2 without) and a key for the case.
