Early Eaglehead American Sword, ca. 1810-1840, 28'' curved single fuller lightly etched blade. Blade was originally partially gold gilt and blue finished. Fluted ivory handle, brass eaglehead pommel, brass knucklebow and guard. Leather scabbard originally with brass throat and chape. Condition is fair. Blade with light to moderate carbon spotting with none of the original gold or blue showing thru on blade. Scabbard with splits and missing tip. Est.: $750-$1,000.
