Welcome to our Halloween Firearms & Militaria Auction!

Lot # 0 (Sale Order: 1 of 251)

Welcome to our October 23rd Echoes of Glory Firearms & Militaria Auction! This live & online Proxibid auction will feature over 300 lots of firearms, military collectable...mores and other items from many eras and countries. Remember the auction is "as is/where is" with no returns allowed - please check out the multiple photos and description before bidding to know what you're bidding on. Call if you have questions. NOTE: Shipping "can" be expensive, not because we jack up the price, but because all the carriers are continuing to raise their prices. Typically, our shipping staff only charge $5-10 added on top of the postage fees (depending on the item) to cover labor and shipping materials. Our shippers also group items together for shipment to save as much money as possible, when possible. Please note that items being sent cross-country, that are over 52 inches in length when packed, ammunition and items that require an adult signature or insurance will incur extra shipping fees by UPS or USPS. Also, our buyers premium is 18.5% - but Proxibid gets 5% of this (plus a $475 setup fee) and the credit card companies another 3.5%...leaving us with 10%. Please email us within 24 hours after the auction if you are paying by check at eogshipping@gmail.com. Lots of premium items in this auction, bid early, bid often, bid high and good luck! *Please note, we do not dissemble consigned firearms to inspect condition or numbers matching. All statements as to matching numbers or condition relate to what is readily externally visible.

German J.P. Sauer & Sohn 12 Ga./7.7x57R Drilling with a Hensoldt Dialytan Scope - FFL #27183 (DWJ1)

Lot # 14 (Sale Order: 15 of 251)

This J.P. Sauer & Sohn drilling was the Mercedes Benz of drillings in it's day, and remains a great work of craftsmanship today. The "drilling" combination guns were extr...moreemely popular and there were numerous companies making these weapons, but the J.P. Sauer & Sohn firm was Germany's oldest gunmaker was the best reputation. This particular example is a scalloped boxlock design which is very strong with two locking lugs on the bottom of the barrels in addition to a "Greener" designed crossbolt. It featured a top tang-mounted selector which when on the rifle setting raises a rear sight blade on the rib with a zero setting of 100 meters. The double triggers worked as any other double barrel shotgun when the selector was set for the shotgun, but when the rifle barrel was selected only the front trigger was used, either pulled as it was for a heavy trigger pull or pushed forward from the rear as a single-set trigger with a very light pull to fire. The safety is mounted on the left side of the stock, beautifully inlaid above the double triggers and it functioned as a normal safety regardless of what was selected to fire. This drilling also features visual and tactile cocking indicators, located on the top of the upper tang on either side of the action lever. When cocked there are brass pins that raise out of the action that correspond to each barrel. The pins to the far right and left are for the right and left shotgun barrel respectively, while the pin just to the left of the lever is the indicator for the rifle. This feature is often only seen on high end shotguns and drillings because of the cost and complexity of incorporating them. This drilling has beautifully installed double claw mount scope bases. IT has a mounted Hensoldt Wetzlar Dialytan 4x scope with good optics. It is a 12 gauge over 8mm and is in very good condition with bore This drilling comes with butt stock ammo compartment, rubber recoil pad, scope cover and sling. The barrels are 26" in length.

RARE Winchester Model 1873 .44-40 Lever-Action "Musket" - no FFL needed (BSJ 1)

Lot # 15 (Sale Order: 16 of 251)

A very fine example of the very RARE Winchester model 1873 Military "Musket" in .44-40 caliber (marked .44CAL on the chamber and ejector block) with a 30" round barrel an...mored full-length magazine tube. This model represented only 5-10% of total production, and was geared towards military contracts, which sadly did not pan out like. It came complete with the sling swivels required on a military rifle. It also features a standard "ladder" rear sight, with a barleycorn front sight, much different from the standard sights on most 1873s and doubled as a bayonet lug. The serial number is 480767 denoting the year of manufacture as 1894. The engraving on top of the barrel is mostly clear: WINCHESTER'S REPEATING ARMS. NEW HAVEN, CT. KING'S IMPROVEMENT PATENTED MARCH 29.1866. OCTOBER 16.1860. Offered with a crisp tight action in fully functional condition with the original tight fitting dust cover. Metal work is good, with a lovely worn gray patina and only light peppering. Bore is in excellent condition, with clear lands and grooves and a bright finish, with just a few spots of oxidation. Stocks are in very good condition, with just a few scratches and dents on the wood, but nothing major, and a great worn look. An exceptional rifle.

Colt New Frontier Consecutive Serial Numbered Pair, 357 Revolvers 14185NF/14186NF with Boxes (A 1)

Lot # 16 (Sale Order: 17 of 251)

This offering is a consecutively numbered pair of Colt nickel New Frontiers with 7-1/2" barrels and chambered in .357 Magnum, in very good condition. These are in the box...more with correct end labels, all the papers, booklet, hang tag etc. This pair was manufactured in 1981, the first year of production for the P-4671 and according to Wilkerson only 509 were produced accounting for just 3% of the total New Frontier production. These appear unfired but they were stored in the box and plastic bags for over 35 years and there's some minor clouding or "ghosting". This consecutively numbered pair is offered as a pair only.

Civil War Era Meriden / Triplett & Scott "Kentucky" Repeating .50 Caliber Carbine, Antique (DJQ 1)

Lot # 21 (Sale Order: 22 of 251)

Rare Civil War Era Meriden / Triplett & Scott "Kentucky" Repeating .50 Caliber Carbine in good to very good condition. The bore is bright and shinny, and the mechanism ap...morepears to function properly, with the exception of the magazine loading door. The door appears to not close itself after cycling the action. There are small cracks in the wood near the magazine, which I'm told are present on nearly all examples. There are small nicks and dings in the wood consistent with service use. This unusual carbine rotates in half to eject a spent cartridge and pick up a new cartridge from the butt-stock mounted magazine.

Civil War Era Navy Sharps & Hankins Model 1862 Breach Loading 52 Caliber Carbine Antique:1901 (DJQ1)

Lot # 22 (Sale Order: 23 of 251)

Civil War Era, Navy Sharps & Hankins Model 1862 Breach Loading .52 Caliber Carbine in good to very good condition. Most importantly, this carbine maintains its original l...moreeather hand-guard. This leather was intended to protect the metal from salt air to prevent corrosion, but did just the opposite. Most of these carbines had the leather removed in service, but this model retains the original leather. The bore is good to very good with strong rifling. Mechanically the carbine appears to function properly. A very rare example of a civil war naval carbine.
