Full stock transition Kentucky to plains rifle signed “J. Gibbs” on the barrel in script and lock marked “Elwell, Warranted”. Light maple colored stock with striping. Uncleaned patina on metal and the stocks lightly refinished with coating of modern varnish. Some cracks in the wood. The action is not working properly and needs repair. From local estate and a family heirloom carried west. Measures 53” overall and approximately .36 caliber rifled. (Antique) Est.: $800-$1600
