This auction is being conducted to benefit the family of slain Lincoln Police Investigator Luis “Mario” Herrera, who was shot in the line of duty on August 26 while serving an arrest warrant. Investigator Herrera succumbed to his wound on September 7, 2020. Investigator Herrera had served with the Lincoln Police Department for 23 years. He is survived by his wife and four children. ALL Proceeds raised from the sale of the gun will be given to the Herrera family.

This is the 10.5” Universal Improved Carbine (UIC) MOD1 from American Defense Manufacturing. It’s a gas-powered semi-automatic AR-15 pistol built around a 7075 aluminum billet receiver set. The MOD1 features ambidextrous controls, an enlarged bolt release, flared magwell, ALG ACT trigger, Radian Weapons Talon Ambidextrous Charging Handle, and Magpul MBUS PRO sights. The Faxon barrel is chambered in 5.56 NATO, 1:8 twist rate, and Battlecomp Muzzle Device. The handguard provides a monolithic Picatinny top rail and M-LOK slots on 7 sides for maximum mounting flexibility of optics, lights, and accessories. 88 Tactical mounted an EOTECH Holographic Weapon Sight XPS3 and SureFire M600U Scout Weaponlight. Midwest Firearm Solutions provided the “Thin Blue Line” cerakote job, complete with Investigator Herrera’s name, badge number, agency and EOW date.
