Colt 1851 Navy Percussion Revolver, #198837, .36 cal., 7.5'' barrel, originally blue and case hardened finish, brass backstrap and triggerguard, one-piece walnut grips. Mfg'd 1866. Condition is very good. Barrel lug has been trimmed to re-tighten the frame. Wedge, forward triggerguard screw and hammer screw are later replacements. Revolver retains approx. 50% toning brown and silver gray finish. Markings are good with visible cylinder scene and matching numbers; unmarked wedge. Grips with little original finish remaining, minor shrinkage, and scuffing near butt. Good action, dark bore. Est.: $1,200-$1,800. (Antique)
