An unembellished, nickel finished Remington-Rider magazine pistol chambered in .32 XSRF. An estimated 15,000 or less pistols were made by Remington from 1871 to 1888 based off of Joseph Rider's patent for a tube magazine pistol. The tube magazine under the barrel would contain 5 .32 extra short rimfire cartridges. Top of barrel is marked "E REMINGTON & SONS. ILION NEYR/RIDERS1 PAT. AUG. 15TH 1871". The "U" in "AUG" is obscured by a ding. Nickel finish is in overall fair condition with pitting and oxidation present throughout. Original wood grips have some small gouges on the bottom of the left grip. Single action with spur trigger. Magazine does not appear to be original and uncertain if it is a magazine. Ejector is missing from this example. Bore is rusted with worn rifling. Display or restoration only. See photos. SN N/A
