Savage Model 1907 in .45 ACP. This is a trials gun with a barrel length of 5-1/4". Comes with non-matching mag. SN-189 on mag. Grips are checkered walnut. Case color on trigger is at 90%. Overall condition is at 85%. Finish is dull matte after factory redo. This gun was sent to Fort Wingate, New Mexico, Troop I, 3rd Cavalry for testing. These pistols were later recalled from the field and returned to the Springfield Armory. They were then sold to Kirtland Bros. & Co., New York and then sold back to Savage where they were refurbished and sold to the public. Information from Scott Meadow's book. Estimated production numbers on these trial guns was 288. Very few are offered for sale. Factory letter confirms this pistol shipped to E.K. Tryon Co. of Philadelphia, PA on Aug. 31 of 1922 after factory refurbish. Comes with factory letter. SN-32
