Stevens Model 44 Single Shot Target Rifle, .25-20 cal., 28'' medium-weight round blue barrel, case hardened frame and lever, with Swiss style checkered cheekpiece walnut stock, Schnauble forend, and adjustable palm rest. Barrel fitted with two Weaver No. 64 scope mounts. Receiver with tang sight; front sight is a vintage Winchester style globe front sight with interchangeable disc. Condition is excellent as modified. Barrel retains approx. 98% blue; receiver with 95% vivid case colors. Stock and forend are excellent with only the slightest handling marks. Crisp single stage trigger, bright bore with clean unmarked crown. Est.: $1,200-$1,800. (C&R) SERIAL NUMBER??
