Dark brown pearwood grip exhibits scuffing and superficial scratches. Blade is in excellent condition having a crisp motto and a lot of the original factory dark burnishing remaining. Strong etched maker mark of "AESCULAP TUTTLINGEN". Nickel fittings. Scabbard has a pebbled brown leather cover that is loose. It can be removed and exhibits a seam on the reverse when wrapped onto the scabbard body. The leather covering appears to be period. Both scabbard fittings are missing retaining screws.
