Field gray worsted wool cap body with Cavalry yellow piping. The bullion insignia is factory applied as there is no stitching evident through the lining. The bullion eagle is the earlier short wing variant. Vulcan visor finish is in excellent condition. Leather sweat band exhibits wear and a few tears but is still supple. The celluloid sweat shield is not present but stitch lines are visible. Period hair oil staining is evident in the crown. There are a few scattered moth nips but does not detract. Nice example of a "been there" combat worn example!
