CONDITION: This vintage rifle is in nice condition with very light wear, has a perfect sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. MODEL 1866 HISTORY: The Winchester Model 1866, also known as the "Yellowboy", was the first lever-action rifle and carbine to be widely used in the American West, produced from 1866 to 1899. It was a refinement of the 1860 Henry rifle and was nicknamed for its distinctive gunmetal frame, forend cap, sideplates, and buttplate. The gunmetal alloy was rust-resistant and easy to machine, making the rifle more durable in the harsh environments of the American West.
