serial #44050, 8mm Roth-Steyr, 5” barrel with a fair bore showing moderate oxidation and good rifling. The metal surfaces of this 1910 acceptance-dated pistol retain about 90% plus original blue showing some scattered mild oxidation speckling and some areas thinning to gray-brown patina along the left side. The bolt remains mostly bright, the trigger is a smooth gray and the extractor shows fine straw color. The barrel shows some slight damage at the crown, strangely having been flattened somewhat, and all markings remain intact and strong. The grooved walnut grips remain in very good plus condition showing some light dings and the left panel with a few small chips. All of the serialized parts are matching. A fine example of these desirable and interesting martial pistols. (13B11591-8) {C&R} (800/1200)
