Stunning double action Smith and Wesson, 357 revolver custom engraved by Ken Hurst and signed Lynchburg Police Department Bicentennial Edition. 4 inch barrel has a polished stainless steel finish with Smith and Wesson on the left side and 1786 Bicentennial Edition 1986 on the right with a fixed ramp front sight and very good bore. Six round cylinder is in good time, locks up tight and has very good chambers with delicate engraving around the entire cylinder. Left side cylinder release is strawed. Stainless steel frame has full coverage engraving with S and W logo on left side and gold Police Officer Lynchburg badge on right side. Two piece wrap around pistol grips have a beautiful grain appearance and are in remarkable condition with S and W medallions on the top of both sides. Bottom of trigger guard is marked 1 of 80. Also included is a presentation case made of solid white oak, 5/8 inch in thickness and sealed. Joints are mitered-spline and lid is hinged on a full length piano hinge with brass plated draw bolt lock with key. The interior is finished in blue velvet. Also included is a letter stating the Smith and Wesson revolver, Model 66, with serial number AES 7818, was hand engraved and polished by the Ken Hurts Firearms Engraving Company as one of eighty Lynchburg Police Department Bicentennial Edition revolvers. The bottom of the letter is signed by Ken Hurst, Jack M. Jones Jr, Time George.
