HISTORY: The history of pre-World War II Mauser sporting rifles is intertwined with the development of Mauser's famous bolt-action designs and the company's efforts to adapt military technology for civilian and hunting markets. Mauser's early successes were rooted in military rifles like the Gewehr 98 and K98. These rifles' robust and reliable actions, along with their accuracy, made them appealing for adaptation into sporting rifles. In the early 20th century, Mauser began offering commercial sporting rifles based on its military actions. Mauser sporting rifles gained a strong reputation for reliability, accuracy, and quality. They were popular among hunters and sportsmen, both in Europe and the U.S. SHIPPING - We offer free shipping anywhere within the continental US. All firearms must be sent to an FFL (or C&R if applicable) regardless of age or caliber. This includes antiques & muzzleloaders.
