7.7 MM caliber, 26" barrel, S/N 82491, Izawa arsenal a subcontractor for Nagoya.  Wood stock and handguard. Still has the mum, and all markings are sharp and crisp.  This rifle retains a lot of the original finish.  The most interesting part of this rifle has seen action as it has been hit by shrapnel in three different areas with one penetrating just above the floor plate and two in the wrist on the left side. A truly great GI bring back from WWII and specifically the South Pacific.  This rifle tells a story.
