This Yugoslavian SKS is visible numbers matching: receiver, stock, magazine, receiver cover & bolt. This gun comes with original 1960s era accessories: dual compartment leather ammo pouch, green canvas sling, cleaning kit, oiler with leather pouch & weighted rope. SPECS: Wood stock & handguard with trapdoor butt cleaning kit compartment (does not include kit), rubber buttpad, 22" barrel, folding launcher spigot with muzzle attachment (24" total barrel length with attachment), retractable bayonet, adjustable folding rear battle sight, hooded front post sight, flip-up phosphorous night sights, sling rings and 10-round internal stripper clip fed magazine. CONDITION: This gun is in nice condition with light wear, has a perfect sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. HISTORY: The Zastava M59 PAP, also known as Papovka, is a Yugoslavian licensed version of Soviet SKS semi-automatic rifle. In 1966, the M59 was redesigned with the addition of an integrated launcher spigot. The new model also included a folding ladder sight that also doubled as a gas shutoff to enable the rifle to cycle correctly. This new rifle received the designation M59/66. During its final years of production, the M59/66 was manufactured with flip-up tritium or painted phosphorous night sights, and received the designation M59/66 A1. The M59/66 remained in service with military and security forces in Yugoslavia until the dissolution of that country in 1991.
