Impossible to find Indonesian Royal Navy Officers Griffin Pommel Sword. Impossible to find Indonesian Royal Navy Griffin Pommel Sword, regency of King Abdul Rahman II Muazzam Shah Regina (1883-1911). Likely one of the rarest naval swords of all nations. The blade is possibly German made. Very large and massive, According to the current owner, the sword was part of a large collection of naval swords and daggers that was auctioned off by the heirs of a collector in Germany in the mid-1980s and the only other known example of this Naval sword is on display at the Military Museum of Artillery, Engineering and Communication Troops in St. Petersburg, Russia. You can see dozens of antique German, British and French naval swords on the market at any given time, occasionally you can find an Indonesian Griffon Pommel Army sword or dagger but I don't think that a collector will have another chance to find 19th century Indonesian Naval sword.
