Theodosia “Teddy” Nelson Westlake

A graduate of Denison University, class of 1951 and A passionate musician, Teddy was an excellent pipe organist and pianist and accomplished musical director, who made a career out of teaching the piano. Teddy and Jim were founders of Granville’s Village Voices, more recently known as Vintage Voices.

Teddy loved her country and honored the fearless men and women who help defend it. She and her husband Jim, a Navy veteran of WWII, were long-time active members of the Licking County Veterans Alliance, which they considered family. Teddy was active on the Meet and Greet committee at Kendal, where she and Jim lived since 2007, and where until recently she also coordinated and often performed in musical programs and church services. She and Jim were former members of Granville Couples Golf and Granville Golf Club.

Innovative Auctions Inc., does not pack or ship items. We recommend the UPS Store in Fairborn Ohio. UPS Fairborn works with us on a weekly basis. Any other shipper or shipping method will have to be arranged and pickup will have to be setup by the buyer. We only charge for items purchased through the credit card that is registered with Proxibid. We do NOT accept cash, check, Paypal or any other type of payment other than the actual credit card that is listed with Proxibid at time of registration for the auction that you are participating. We will NOT take another credit card over the phone or by email! If you want to use another card to pay for purchases other than what is registered with Proxibid at time of registration of each individual auction, you will need to contact Proxibid at 402-505-7770 to change the card. We can not change the card on our end. If you try to change a credit card after you register for a particular auction, unfortunately, the card that was listed at time of registration is the card that the system defaults to charging. You have to actually call Proxibid to change it at that point to use another card. Cards declined for any reason will receive a 10.00 fee for labor spent tracking down, re-running cards etc... No EXCEPTIONS!!! Please contact The UPS Store or your shipping agent before auction ends to get estimate of shipping cost and following the auction to arrange shipping. UPS Fairborn's contact number is 937-754-9999. Please contact them before removal date of auction. They pickup items at our facility every Thursday. We do not see your credit card information and do not give it to the UPS Store or your shipping agent. You will need to supply The UPS Store or your shipping agent with your payment information, name, paddle number, phone number and auction that items were purchased. Not giving them paddle number or auction items purchased can delay your shipment. If you are an out of state buyer and do not want items shipped please notify us by email on Monday following auction that you will be picking them up. Items not picked up or that shipping has been arranged by pickup day will be forfeited and re-sold with all proceeds going to Innovative Auctions for re-listing, transportation to our facility and storage fees!! No Exceptions!! We want this to be an enjoyable experience, but, items being left cause us to have to send trucks and employees to pick up left items. We also have to pay employees to re-list the items. We prefer buyers to pick up or have items shipped. We have no desire to re-sell items that someone has bought. Again, we prefer everyone to have an enjoyable experience. If a credit card is declined and Innovative Auctions can't get payment by the pickup day of auction items were purchased that buyer will not able to participate in any of our future auctions. Please put your tax ID number in registration Information. If it is not in registration information you will be charged tax! We will NOT reimburse your tax if you have a Tax ID number and it is not in your registration information.

Shipping Instructions: All of our online only auctions are pick up only. If you are a out of state buyer we recommend UPS Fairborn, Ohio (937-754-9999). They will pick up, pack and ship your purchases. We do not pack or ship! We do not charge for shipping when we send your invoice. You will need to contact shipper and give them your payment information. Please contact them before removal date stated for an auction. UPS typically picks up items on Thursdays. Please contact them prior to auction closing to get an estimate for shipping. If items are not picked up or a buyer has not arranged shipping BEFORE auction removal date, items will be re-sold with all proceeds going to Innovative Auctions for re-listing, transportation and storage fees. If you are an out of state buyer and do not want items shipped please notify us by email on the Monday following the auction you bought items in that you do not want items shipped.

Special Terms

Bring adequate help to move items. We do not generally have multiple individuals at pick up to help move larger items. We are no longer bringing items back to our building from and off site pickup. We would do it in the past for circumstances that came about for individual buyers. But, some buyers have proceeded to abuse this service and we will no longer bring items back. If you can not pickup items and are not having them shipped, please do not bid. Any item not picked up or shipping is arranged by pickup day will be forfeited! Registering for this auction finalizes each bidder's agreement to the terms and conditions of sale as stated in the Contract and any Addenda which are incorporated by reference into your bidding. Do not bid until you have read the terms and conditions. In order to bid at the auction, all Bidders must be signed up and register to bid through Proxibid.com. There is no fee to register, although a valid credit card will be required to verify identity and funds. By bidding you are representing Innovative Auctions Inc., (Auctioneer) and the seller that you have read and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions for this sale as stated herein. Please bring any packaging materials, moving equipment, personnel to assist in loading etc. that you might need. Items not picked up during that time will be considered abandoned property. NO refunds, credits or charge back's will be granted due to a lack of removal at the designated times. After the scheduled removal, items will be considered abandoned YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE TO PICK UP AND REMOVE YOUR ITEMS AT THE POSTED REMOVAL TIMES. Bidders who do not pickup their items at the scheduled time or arrange shipping by removal date will be considered to have abandoned their purchases and agree that they will not be entitled to any refund or adjustment. Items will be sold to cover storage, moving and re-listing fees. Auctions are a great way for buyers to get great items at great prices. Auctions are also pretty fun to participate in. Innovative Auctions Inc. wants our bidders to have fun participating in our auctions. We want you to get great deals. Once you leave a removal/pickup we will consider all of your items picked up and we are not responsible for them. Any items left forgotten etc. at a home or our facility during a removal are considered abandon.

Lot # 28

This piece has a Vanity Drawer with a Damaged Hinge and Desk with Writing Materials Storage Area in the Top Drawer. It Has Water Rings on the top, Fading, Scratches and Scuffs. One Side has a Couple of White Paint Scuffs. Measurement is 32" Tall x 39.5" Wide and 17.5" Deep. Lot 27 is the same style and has same furniture maker medallion as this piece.

Antique, Marble Top, Ladies Desk With Victorian Accents

It has condition issues with scuffs, dings and scratches on the wood areas. It is 28" x 28" x17". It is a little wobbly. This is a late 1800 or early 1900s piece. Lots 30, 101 and 126 do match in style and could make up a set. This lot comes with a wonderful note taped to the inside of the desk that we have pictured. It relates back to a Civil War member of the Whitaker family. Take a look at the last image in this lot to see the note.
