This Concho Belt is inlaid with turquoise, jet, mother of pearl, and spiny oyster, set in silver. The belt is signed Myra Tuscon Zuni on back of belt buckle. Belt is a black leather belt. Buckle measures 4 1/4" wide. and there are 7 Concho Medallions that slide on belt. These are 3 3/8" wide. This is a fine representation of her inlay work. Myra Tuscon represented Zuni artists in her era; she participated in the exhibit "Southwest Indian Arts II" held at the California Palace of the Legion of Honor, San Francisco in 1955. She is one of the most important early Zuni silversmith artists. That Makes This A Very Rare Signed Piece Of Art By One Of The Greatest Zuni Inlay Artist. You May Find A lot Of Zuni Inlay Works Of Art Attributed To This Artist, But This One Is Signed.
